Rock thread
What is the most iconic Rock-type and why wasn't it in Pokkén?
Onix, and it's too big compared to the other fighters
>>25837870
this pretty much
Dwayne Johnson.
Under contract to fight elsewhere.
>>25837886
>implying he hasnt been lost in pokestar studios for the past 15 years
>>25837856
I could see Kabutops or Tyranitar making their way in. Or Golem, if people still like him.
(but I'm hoping for Shuckle)
>>25837856
geodude or golem. they're moves wouldn't have been flashy enough for this game
I think Tyranitar could have made it but there's already three big lizard dudes. Golem is iconic but shit.
Maybe Rhydon?

this

I don't know.
Ask the publishers: Nintendo and Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Rhyyperior would've made an interesting combatant. It can range with Rock Blasts and Bulldozes, and when in close it had Dual Chops, Dragon Tail (to push the foe back and continue zoning), Rock Head, Horn Drill, Giga Impact etc. Its large frame and wide reach around itself would make for decent close-up defensive play.
I'd imagine it as playing like Hugo and Zangief, but with zoning options. It'd have to eaither keep away or get up reeeal close, no inbetween.

Rhyperior, Golem, Archeops and Probopass would have all been great choices.
>>25838053
>Rhydon
It would be Rhyperior, they only choose Braixen as mid stage because they wanted a "magical girl" stereotype.
Pic related are Rock types that I think that would be good additions specifically for Pokken.
this thread rocks
>>25838153
I really want Kaubtops in, the slice n dice potential would be fun.
The people saying Kabutops have the right idea.
It's the perfect Rock Type for the job.
>>25837856
dude, Charizard /is/ in Pokken.
>>25837856
Where is ROCKS dude?
Geodude
>>25837856
Tyranitar would have made perfect sense for this game. I wonder why they decided to go with Suicune as the Johto rep?
>>25839441
Well if he's here in this thread, he's being awfullysneaky

>>25838053
Definitely Rhydon.
>>25837856
Rock is just a shitty in-between version of Ground and Steel. Retcon into Ground WHEN??
>>25842310
>STILL liking Gogoat
The only interesting Rock-type pokemon that might appear in Pokken is Probopass. Practically all other rock-type species would be like other current fighters or the same as other notable species in other elemental types.
>>25838153
Actually Rhydon would've been a great choice as it's popularly known as the "first pokemon ever created"
>>25838153
>Rhyperior
10 years and I'm still angry about Rhyperior.
>>25841978Stealth Rock as a playable character in Pokken when?
>>25838153
I thought it was more for cross promotion for the anime myself.
Kabutops, Aerodactyl, Diancie, andshinyGigalith have potential.
>>25842862
You've only yourself to blame for having shit taste
>>25837856
>most ironic
shuckle
>why it isn't in pokken
b/c almost everything wears itself out trying to kill it
>>25838153
>Gigalith
Interdasting

Right?

ROCK! Og like rock, Og think Man Rock or Long Rock are most known rock of Gen 1.
>>25842862
Happy now?
Rock types just aren't popular or iconic enough.
