Always have this problem, had it in RSE too. Game starts to hit a low around Mauville, doesn't pick up again till Lavaridge.

I know your pain. Normally I'll just realise there's a pokemon that would have been fun to have at the beginning and I feel the need to scrap everything because of it. I'm in the middle of forcing myself to finish ORAS properly and play the post game story so I can go back to dicking around with nuzlockes and stuff.
