It fits the theme of the evolutionary line by putting it in an endless cycle of lazy->hyper->lazy since megas are only temporary.
Mega Slaking is just a normal slaking that decided to stand up. Doesn't get any stat changes but does get a useful ability

New ability that has the same drawback as Truant, but allow attacks to break through Protect/Detect/etc. It still only attacks every other turn, but it's effectively impossible to block.
