Oh dear, I can't even begin, and if I try, I'm sure something will go inconsistent down the line. Eh, fuck it. I just want to live peacefully with my pokemon FRIENDS. As long as I can do that, I don't care what anyone else does.
The smarter pokemon, like Alakazam and Metagross, would constantly be working with scientists toward human kinds health and well being. Most diseases wouldnt exist.
Food alternatives would exist.
The left and right wing Pokemedia would be covering Pokemon attacks and legality of actually being able to capture super dangerous pokemon like Garchomp. Every time a pokemon attacked someone and was put down would be a mass media covered scandal story.
The beach wouldnt be fun.
No one would actually capture legendaries, theyd most likely die trying tho.

It would not be anything like the games or the anime. The human beings in the Pokemon franchise are, on average, much more friendly and cooperative than people in our world. This spirit of cooperation is so great that it has created a world where ten-year-olds can freely travel across the land searching far and wide without any adult supervision in relative safety. There are still bad and cruel human beings, but society at large seems to consist of people who want to work together regardless of who you are or where you're from. I'm pretty sure the developers have even talked about this in the past.
If Pokemon lived in our world, they would be weapons of war. They would be abused and many of them would likely be eaten, even if doing so was illegal. We would likely be terrible to many of them and in turn many Pokemon would become twisted and cruel, particularly the ones that tend towards mean-spirited behaviors to begin with (see: most Ghost and Dark types). Only the weakest of shitmons would be accessible to children, and likely only if they've been trained to only know shit like Growl or Scratch. Owning something like an Arcanine would require going through the same kind of hoops you'd have to go through to own a tiger. Probably even more so, considering Arcanine are much more intelligent and can breathe fire.
All in all, it would not be like our Japanese animes.

Pokémon in the real world wouldn't be fun. Humans in the Pokémon world are all really nice people (except a select few, and even then they don't do anything absolutely insane).

Like mentioned above, Pokemon is a very idealistic world. We, however, are much more cynical. When every Pokemon can develop superpowers, I'm pretty sure every city would be a quarantine zone and there'd be a much higher focus on pest control.
