>Normal
Why?
>>25780560
because if it wasnt weak to fighting it would be overpowered. uber+
>>25780560
Something about the method it generates electricity. Its body works similarly to regular man-made generators, as opposed to, say, Pikachu who is electric naturally.
>>25780560
It's just a placeholder for the new type
>>25780560
I really don't understand the "Normal" type, not at all. Not only in this fucker, I don't like it or understand it in a logical way. Is not even that common (normal)!
It only makes sense in the meta-game, because Fighting needs to be effective against it.
Why a pokemon is normal but others are not?
Unless is just as >>25780615 says, but even so. Why can't they add an extra type when they need to?
>>25781319
Normal = non-elemental
>>25780560
Boomburst STAB
Because you touch yourself at night.
>>25780560
>>25781319
it just means they're good at using raw physical power or force. hence normal STAB. as opposed to fighting types who use technique.
>>25780560
It has a strong STAB Hyper Voice.
Honestly a good move with good neutral coverage.
Good with Volt Switch/T-bolt/Hyper Voice/Surf and Life Orb
>>25781653
also its insanely strong with solar power
>>25781564
May be before the 6th generation, but then now why there is "Normal + Electric" and "Normal+ Fire"? It's elemental + non-elemental?
If Normal is non-elemental, then all non-normal types are elemental? Fight or Bug are elemental types?
>>25781319
Normal types are a jack of all trades, but a master of none.
They are capable of doing many things, but have no real focus in one specific elemental area.
>>25781662
Pyroar is for Noble Roar/Hyper Voice STAB.
Heliolisk is possibly supposed to be "not fully elemental" since it requires a non-electrical external source to generate electricity.
>Gogoat isn't part normal
Wait, what the fuck?
>>25780560
>not Electric/Fire
>not Electric/Ground
>>25781725
I understand the meta-game logic underneath, I was wondering more about the type itself.
>>25781643
Don't think so, according to some fight attacks and some fight pokemons, I don't see how that is correct. Fire type are the ones with Fire, Bug the ones based on insects or arachnids, Fight type based on fighters or Fight styles. Normal on raw attack power? Even if they are weak or thin? Even if Fighters have more power? I think I understand more as the "hodgepodge" of pokemon, as said by >>25781667
Yes, I think it could be something like this. I think they started like a swiss-knife that included all the non-easy to classify pokemon. Most of them mammals or tetrapod vertebrates (in opposition to bugs or fight types) that didn't fit in any other type, but I really think it doesn't follow any logic.
