I wonder what you have to say about the Sinnoh music - piano-based soundtrack really worked for a few places, but I feel like it could've been better executed.
Honestly, I've been giving alot of thought into this as I've been playing Platinum again, and I really think I'll need all of your help. I mean, there's so many amazing tunes here, it's hard to decide! I love Dialga and Palkia's them, and the distortion world theme was great, not to mention Giratina's theme, but there were also so many amazing route themes, like 206, and so many amazing places with great music, like Jubilife and the lakes. You're absolutely right though, and that's genuinely something I'll discuss when I get there. ^_^ Just remember though, just because a tune was poorly executed, that doesn't mean it's a bad tune. The whole 4gen was a bit wonky till hgss, and I enjoy seeing how they can take poorly executed tunes and really turn them around when used in a later game. That's why I'm starting this series, lol. The music, and creativity.

Honestly, I already planned on Mt. Corronet. It's one of my favorites in Gen 4, and someone actually did an epic remix of it, using a cool dubstep bass revolution, real piano, synths, and incorporated Dearly Beloved into it, the theme from kingdom hearts! I also wanna do Route 111 from hoenn, because the techno remix is epic, breaking into sprout tower in the middle, and absolutely owning it.

Comfiest gen and my favourite. Platinum was even better.
Gen V came close (I actually prefer the pokedex from V) but lacked Sinnoh's atmosphere.
