Despite growing up on Hoenn (and still considerably biased towards it), I'd actually say Gen 5 is my favorite. I kinda like what they were trying to do, reinvent Gen 1 and have a complete new set of Pokemon. Their locations were varied and a several of them very inventive. And their villains actually seemed to have an effect on the world. Townspeople didn't seem to put much stock in any of the other gangs. It's tough, because I'm extremely fond of the Kalos region as well for just how expansive and beautiful it is, but they lose out because I can't take Team Flare seriously and I'm rather meh about the Mega Evolution.

Until a few weeks after ORAS released and I last browsed this board, moderation here was so stupidly rampant that anything that didn't think of the children was promptly deleted.
