To be fair, it is a series where wild monsters lie in wait just outside of civilization, prepared to attack all those who draw near. I can't even tell you how many pokedex entries mention "digestive acids" and "leisurely eating prey". However, this makes it all the more fun when you can befriend a bristling toxic monstrosity and feed it tiny cupcakes.
