Is Mew the mother of all pokemon?
>>25761981
If that were the case then she'd be our mother too.
Maybe all non-legendary pokemon. Since Arceus was created out of a void and not by Mew, and then Arcues created some other legendaries that Mew had no part in.
>>25761981
well that's one way to censor the picture.

>censor
That's the original. It's a baby bump.
>>25761981
where is its bussy
>>25761981
Mew is the ancestor of all common Pokemon, however every legendary was created by Arceus.
There is a theory that thousands of Mew existed at one point and all but one of them gradually evolved into the Pokemon we know today.
>>25761981
You can think of it that way, but it can also alter it's genetic structure in any way, so it's not just a female.
>>25762169
That Dex entry doesn't say a single thing about there being thousands of Mew, plus that's fake, it's using the Psychic TCG symbol.

That's not how evolution works. I'm fine with it being co-opted for metamorphosis, but this is literally not how evolution works. If Mew was the ancestor of all Pokemon it'd be extinct. if it's morphologically the same, it's not that ancient Pokemon
Does it actually say that mew is the source of all other pokemon or that it just posseses the dna of all pokemon? There is a pretty relevent difference.
>>25764971
the latter. I think it's more likely that Mew undergoes horizontal gene transfer with other Pokemon fairly readily.

I want to be unbirthed by Mew.
Mew would slowly absorb and suck me into her birth canal. And then while inside her womb, the tightness would force me into a fetal position. Some placenta-like thing would appear and it starts to force its way into my bellybutton, slowly opening it, and connecting and sealing itself into the opening. Now my bellybutton's skin and the placenta are fused together, making me a part of Mew.
I am now a creature being nurtured inside her.
At first I would feel like trying to fight back, but as Mew's life energy flows into me, I begin to become relaxed. All my worries, fears and everything else that I'm thinking of are all gradually becoming none of my concern. My mind goes into a blissful trance-like state as I become enveloped with a feeling of safety and security.
I would fall asleep comfortably with a smile as I am being cradled and nurtured inside Mew's womb. This would continue on for a few months, Mew's essence and life energy flows into me and slowly changes me without even noticing it. I would have lost all my human characteristics in months.
After staying in this heavenly cradle of life, I would get re-born as another Mew, ready to explore the world in this new life that she has given me.

>Is Mew the mother of all pokemon?
Yes, but not literally.
All non-legendary pokemon (with a few artificial exceptions) descended from Mew.
>>25764903
>That's not how evolution works.
You're right, because this is the pokemon world and not beheld to the "exact" natural laws of our own dimension.
The Pokemon world is a bit of BOTH intelligent design and natural selection: all forms of life on poke-earth are a product of divine creation, but at the same time they've grown, developed and evolved into variations or deviations of their original forms.
> If Mew was the ancestor of all Pokemon it'd be extinct. if it's morphologically the same, it's not that ancient Pokemon
With all of that in mind: Mew IS sort of Extinct.
I'm under the impression that Mews WERE very common at some point in ancient history; they probably covered the entire 'earth' and developed, evolved and learned to live in a wide variety of habitats as there was no other competition but from other Mews, etc.
Though over time Mews came to naturally evolve, speciate and transform into a WIDE variety of very different sub-species, families and groups of pokemon and through time Mews became rarer and rarer.
To the point where in contemporary times Mews are still 'present', but very, very, rare due to being out competed and displaced by so many other specialized pokemon.

I don't care what some 11 year old thinks, Evolution doesn't work like that.
>>25765119
then they didn't evolve, they were intelligently designed.
>>25765153
so why do I trust this machine? What does it know
>>25765159
>then they didn't evolve, they were intelligently designed.
Okay, I literally fucking said that, so I don't know what the hell you're on about.
Every Legendary is a product of intelligent design via creation through Arceus.
Mew was created.
Normal pokemon however (through a few man-made or artificial exceptions) evolved and speciated from MEWS. Their common ancestor was a product of intelligent design, but they themselves are a product of natural selection.
Both had a hand in the pokemon we see today.
Do you understand?
