Perfect Zygarde grew on me once I learned its four shoulder tentacles have little snake mouths.
Zydoge is still retarded though, it doesnt even remotely resemble any of the other formes, despite all the other formes having clear similarities in their worm / serpentine design as well as general shape. (50% is just a much larger, more detailed version of the core with a frill, 100% is just 50% with legs and a head coming out the top of its old head)

Making a giant bug helps, they have naturally segmented bodies, makes turning them into transformers a much simpler transition then say, a french maid, just look at Magearna its design is hampered because they have to make it turn into a pokeball, and it has to be in way that physically makes sense,I say this as someone who likes Magearna as well.
