>yfw a majority of your favorite Pokemon are either super popular or "edgemons"
Why do so many people on this board hate these Pokemon?

I don't think it's that they're inherently bad. A lot of those Pokemon just have really edgy fans or are being pandered to.
Look at charizard. I mean, he's not THAT bad, but there's just so much charizard pandering it's ridiculous.
It's just people who are butthurt that their favorite or favorites are shitmon. They take out their frustrations with the Pokemon Company on people like you.

They just realized that he's more profitable than Lucario which was forced in everyone's throats since gen 3
After gen 2 they stop marketing him as the "cool" pokemon and moved on and realized he's still effective since:
>Cool and simple design
>Gen 1 bonus points so everyone loves it
>In every way except type a dragon pre mega
>Ash's strongest Mon so bonus points for animefags
>The only gen 1 starter that is passable in competitive battles (Drought) but sneaky pebbles held it back
Honestly anyone who likes Charizard or Lucario should be banned from liking Pokemon. They are some of the worst Pokemon and there are hundreds of better ones. The worst Pokemon is easily Mewtwo.

>Only gen 1 starter that is passable in competitive battles
>Forgets that Venusaur is OU
Don't sweat it. /vp/ takes "stop liking what I don't like" to another level.
