why is Absol so edgy?
>Rumored to sense disasters with its horn, it became a target. It fled deep into the mountains.
Its an oh so mysterious, mistunderstood dark type pokemon covered in scythes. It also has anime hair and large red eyes. There was basically no way that it wouldn't be edgy.

Let's remember that Absol made its debut in the American-Idiot-Shadow-the-Hedgehog era. It was cool at the time.

I feel like Absol pulls of the edgy thing well enough that you can like it without being edgy yourself.
It is the literally definition of edgy though, along with Umbreon. The only thing edgier than Absol is Porygon.

I don't know, I caught an Absol in Omega Ruby and she was the cutest pokemon I've ever had, Just super smiley and adorable and constantly wanted to play with me. So not seeing the edginess, not anymore anyway.

It's really only Umbreon being dark type and related to the moon that makes it edgy. It's design is normal, and it has terrible attacking stats
