Classic 90s Pikachu was an objectively better design. More compact, simpler to draw, more ''mascot'' in appearance.
Now it's just irritating. Much too tall, boring face, really over the top arms which stretch out way too far. Game Freak needs to go back to their roots with Pikachu.

Also, is it just me, or has it's voice suddenly become annoying? I know they haven't changed voice actors since the first season, but like, the way she voices pikachu just feels different... way more shouting and squealing.
Also it sounds more like it's saying "Pigga" instead of "Pika"
Anyway I just can't bring myself to love skinny Pikachu as much as I did fatchu.
