Last thread went well, so let's make another with a clearer focus.
Post your headcanons for the Pokemon protagonists. What are they personalities like? How do they get along with each other? Who's the strongest trainer of them all? Anything is welcome, as long as it makes for an interesting read.
If you prefer, you can post headcanons for other characters, like rivals, gym leaders, or villains.

Pastebinned my contribution from the last thread as per request from a fellow anon, before the thread died.
If nothing else it should serve as an example/guideline of the kinda things people like and expect. Although any contribution is welcome.

Ethan
Ethan helps part time at the day care with Lyra and is Red's pupil of sorts, they meet on Mt Silver every few months to show each other how strong they got they're both totally matched and it's 60/40 on who's the strongest. Red pushes his Pokemon to the limit while Gold is alot more cocky and lets his guard down often.
Lyra
Lyra is a good trainer and is Obsessed with perfect stats and IV's she spends her days with Maril at the Daycare so she has no time to train her team, She also Runs errands for Elm.

Go for it.
Bump before bed.
Hilda is a girl of peculiar tastes when it comes to Pokemon. Her favorite types are Ghost, Dark and Bug and she loves Pokemon that are considered ugly to others. She loves traditionally cute Pokemon like any other person but she prefers scary and unusual ones better.
She's also the kind of trainer that likes to make themed teams like a witchcraft themed team with Pokemon Mismagius, Murkrow, Lunatone, Seismitoad, Meowstic & Gourgiest. Chances are when you battle her, she's using a team that has a reoccurring and often spooky theme.
Her favorite holiday is Halloween.

I always imagined that after beating Champion Blue, Red went on many adventures. These aren't fan fiction tier. I've tried to make them as believable as possible, connecting them to many unexplained aspects of the games to tie a few loose ends.
After exploring Cerulean cave, Red captured the vicious Mewtwo, and taught it to be kind and compassionate. He taught it how to respect life, and to control it's psychic powers for battle. Together, Red and Mewtwo mastered the power of Mega Evolution, before Red set Mewtwo free, releasing it into the wild to be caught by a strong trainer. Many say it flew off to Kalos.
Blue, after becoming a Pokemon Gym leader, decided that he should start afresh with a team of new Pokemon, and as a result, he gave Red his entire team of Pokemon that he had mistreated. This includes his BlastoiseYes, the very same Blastoise he uses to fight Ethan atop Mount Silver
Although Red and Blue both choose Charmander and Squirtle respectively, Professor Oak never gives the Bulbasaur to any trainer. As a result, the Bulbasaur becomes sheltered and timid, believing no trainer could ever want it. Oak decides that only a confident trainer like Red could raise it to be a strong and happy Pokemon. Red spends many months training with Bulbasaur, until eventually Red acquires a confident and powerful Venusaur to fight by his side.

Brendan
Brendan is /fit/ and does many sports, swimming would be his favourite. When Steven/Wallace are busy he takes over duty as Champ. He gets around by flying on his Latios it helps him get to places quickly if there's danger afoot like rouge Magma/Aqua members. He also enjoys watching his friend May in Competitions.
May
May is your average trainer but a Star on stage she loves doing Pokemon contests and everyone is aware of how passionate she is. She has a Latias given to her by Brendan she doesnt own it but has tamed it to fly around with Brendan but she prefers her bike. Her hobby is decorating her Secert Bases and planting berries for her Pokeblock.
