an obvious choice is a Raptor pokemon. Maybe make it Rock/Dark type.
Personally I'd love to see an Ankylosaur or a Stegosaur, especially if they give them out of nowhere types like they did Aurorus. I could see the Ankylosaur being a rock/electric type, with electric spikes all over it. (dat ground weakness doh)
The stegosaur should be a rock/fire type using its plates like solar panels.

Since it was ghostly it rarely left fossils, making it seem to be a myth, or totally missing from the fossil record.

Honestly aside from the gen 4 ones I've used each and every one competitively at some point. Some of them are held back by the mandatory rock type GF seems to think they all need. It makes sense on some of them (mainly the gen 1 ones and cradily) but then I look at aurorus and wonder wtf the point is.
If aurorus, bastiodon, and armaldo had a different type I feel like all three could succeed to some degree.....hell I'd even be fine with them just throwing dragon on most of the fuckers (dragon or bug makes perfect sense on almost all of them)

Why don't we have a good pterosaur pokemon. Aerodactyl is cool and all but there should be one that's less dragon more pterosaur
We had a fossil thread last night, and there were two suggestions I'd love to see in the future: a rock/fighting australopithecus that evolves into a caveman/neanderthal, and a rock/water prehistoric whale. Make it an ambulocetus that evolves into a basilosaurus, and make it super fast with access to water spout so it at least has something to set it apart from the other rock/water fossil mons

Yo, I fucking love fossils so much, it's just a shame so many have crappy typing.
I was looking forward to Tyrantrum so much, but in retrospect I'm not really a fan of his design. I do like the Gen VI fossils but not as much as previous mons.
My top would def have to be Kabutops, Archeops, and Rampardos. I love Rampardos so much.
