Tenkaichi 2 is better if for nothing else but the story mode. Tenkaichi 3 does have improved gameplay, but the game modes are gutted compared to 2.

Yeah I actually just played 3 after years of wanting to, and was pretty disappointed there. The actual gameplay and roster is great though.
Why does every DBZ fighting game after T3 suck so much more compared to it? I'd love to have all the stupid crazy shit like SSJ3 Vegeta, Broly, and all the new DBS characters with tenkaichi's combat system.

Budokai 3 had some pretty cool shit you could do and tenkaichi 3 had some underlooked depth to it. Both were also really fun

GT was Goku time.
No character got any development but Goku and to do that they had to turn him into a kid again.
With Super at least Vegeta has been getting a lot more screen time and development and even shares top billing with Goku now and there's a reason why Super Saiyan can feel special. (see Cabba)
Oh and the fact that they're going a bit more DB with things with the added comedy and what not.

Vegeta didn't give up, he just accepted Goku was ahead of him at the time but still strove to be better.
In other words he was accepting Goku as his true rival as opposed to an enemy who's interests occasionally aligned.
In Super he held to that but came to realise he can't achieve that power on his own which is why he asked Whis to take him on as a student. Which is exactly something Z Vegeta wouldn't have done. I mean, this is a person who didn't want to fuse with Goku because of "muh pride" even though he was horribly outclassed. Does that sound like the kind of person who would want a master?
