I found a shiny Zubat when EV training, then I went straight to breeding again. Breeding for a diggersby, a shiny popped out with 3 IVs on the 4th egg, so I named him Why Though. I set out to breed for a shiny Gigalith, on the 13th egg it came out with 5 IVs missing special attack and called him Scar Tissue. And finally I was breeding for a ursaring and got the shiny on the 26th egg, he was named Dong Tuna.

The radar in OR/AS is a flat increase to shiny chance (it's the same as breeding if you have the shiny charm, iirc), so a high chain only matters if you want a better chance of an egg move/perfect IVs.

The higher your search level, the higher your chance to find a Pokémon with good IVs or a Hidden Ability, but when it comes to Shiny hunting, it's just a flat increase. The same amount as using the Masuda Method, I think.
