Here's mine. I imagine that training pokemon of multiple types would be a hard task, so it's easier for trainers to specialise in one type, and then extend their knowledge of that type to similar Pokemon.

More Stephen, as it's intended to be a steel-type specialist, as many of my favourite pokemon are steel type. I'd be more interested in steel-type technology than ores and such, though, hence my Magneton, Porygon-Z and Metang, and should I ever choose to go to Unova I'd probably pick up a Klinklang.
As for your team, the trainer aspects look pretty nice, but the over-abundance of shinies and legendaries puts me off quite a bit.

To explain the shinys a bit, I have a little head cannon that they are not good with camouflage in the wild and are thus scarce. kind of a wildlife protection thing going on. I find them pretty regardless.

Cold doesn't bother me, I used to regularly wear gym shorts and sleeveless shirts when it was 10F/-12C and it snowing.

All of those people but Gardenia and Wake are normally dressed and Gardenia could at least pass in some respect.
Even then they're all important NPCs and people, none of us would be Gym Leaders or Elite 4 members, most of us would just be traveling around, and this is supposed to be "What if you were a trainer." If most of us were trainers we'd have all of these things or dress certain ways, simple as that.

Yeah, Venusaur or Aggron would be the mega, likely shift around at every now and then or on certain days to keep people guessing. It's a dirtbike so yeah it'd hurt pretty bad, especially in the PokeUniverse with how outrageous bikes are, luckily I have some Pokemon for that to get around if really needed. I'm decent enough at riding them around, so it couldn't be too much of a problem even if it does so while I'm riding, maybe a broke arm at worst really, now those mini-motorbikes, those are crazy little things.
