Got lucky this last week with a shiny scyther and a wingull. Wasn't even trying for either. I was breeding for a Scizor to use in the battle maison and the third hatched was shiny. Bad I Vs but still neat. Than when I was training the Scizor I ran into the wingull.

I wasn't keeping track of resets at the time, but after less than 20 mins of soft resetting for a shiny Reshiram, I stumbled upon a shiny Ho-oh.
That Ho-oh was the shortest shiny legemdary hunt to date for me.
Do not give up. Always remember that pre-Gen 5 games have it a lot harder for random hunting than the current games that make it more bearable with the Shiny Charm.

Not the original guy you replied to but I was in a similar situation. I was soft reseting for shiny Lugia and tried to catch it in a Premier Ball.
I had a high level Smeargle holding Leftovers with Spore, Belly Drum and False Swipe. I used Spore and got it to 1 HP. Then kept spamming Premier Balls and using Spore when it woke up. Keep track of have many moves it used. Bring something that can restore PP since it has pressure. If you forget how many moves it used, look at how many times you used Spore to help yourself remember. A maxed out Spore has 24 PP. If you used up all 24 PP(12 moves), restored it and it's down to 8 PP left(16 PP used=8 moves), all 20 moves has been used.
If you reach 20 moves with no luck of whatever Pokeball you were trying to use, then use the Master Ball.

Some days ago I took my old Pokemon Pearl game and began learning about Pokeradar chaining so I could catch shinies.
I started trying to catch shinyShinx, I ended up with 2 Shiny Shinx, 1 male 1 female. Both shity natures.
Now I'm trying to catch a female shiny Bunneary but this time is a lot harder. Back then when I was trying to catch shiny Shinx I used a Raichu with Static and the encounter rate for Shinx was 35%. Now I only got 10%-15% chances of getting a Bunneary in every encounter.
Is worth it cause in the end I end up with more than 1 shiny.

Well, I get pretty good results with it. Got ralts with 502 encounters, Shroomish with 110. It's not chaining, I think of it more like the friend safari where there's just an overall increase in shiny chances, which explains why you'd find a porygon in one encounter. Masuda Method is your best bet if you want actual competitive pokemon, though. You could get a complete shit shiny pokemon with Dex Nav.

The Battle Resort has a daycare, and it's set up so that if you start standing right in front of the kid that gives you eggs, you can hit a corner, then hold up and loop around the island.

I brought it down to about half its HP, paralyzed it, and along with pretty much every other shiny I came across, I had a separate 3DS that I could use my Pokemon X game to send my OR/AS games some Level 3 Catching O-Powers. I also felt the need to catch all the shiny legends in Timer Balls as well, so that played a role into mitigating the difficulty.
In the event that it would Struggle, I would have my Gardevoir use Heal Pulse on it, if it's necessary. This is why I tend to leave the weakened legendary with slightly less than 50% but above 26% health.

I also use the Capture Power technique if I need it in a pinch, but I'll use that Heal Pulse advice for sure. Normally, I'd use sleep, but in this situation, paralysis seems to be the way to go.

There's really no way of knowing. The average time people usually get shinies is around 400-600 eggs, but there are outliers. I've hatched shinies in as little as 30 eggs and it's also taken me 1300 eggs to get a shiny.

Yeah, you probably could. I didn't think of it at the time and Gardevoir was me nature Synchronizer which had Heal Pulse on it. So I decided to experiment.
Fortunately, though,of all the ORAS legendaries, I've never had a shiny legend run out of PP, so, you won't have to worry too much about it, just try not to lead with any other pokemon that has Pressure.

So far, using this technique I haven't had any trouble catching all the shiny legends, however, Zekrom was probably the closest one I was to losing it since now paralysis doesn't affect Electric types. I came ill prepared but I barely managed to get it in the end. I don't even remember if I used a Sleep status on it but, I do want to warn anyone who tries to go after Zekrom. This is an instance where you'd want to use Sleep. Also, keep in mind what your pokemon's abilities are. Make sure they are not anything that trigger due to physical contact like Flame Body or Rough Skin. I ALMOST learned that the hard way.

I have a way to deal with Ho-oh. Remember FunBro? Just remove Block for Trick, so you'll have Slack Off, Heal Pulse, Trick and Recycle with a Leppa. It can probably also work with Reshiram, regardless of what status you use on it. I'd have to buy a second copy of AS, but with 60 turns with Zekrom, it shouldn't be too difficult, and walls like Magnezone and Steelix should be perfect to switch in when Zekrom is asleep.

DexNav seems to be the more effective method from what I've seen. Good luck! PokeRadar works too, but you'd have to trade to 5th gen., then transport to 6th gen. which is a pain. Plus it sometimes break even if you're doing nothing wrong.
