People keep saying /vp/ sucks, and sure, it does, but so does 4chan as a whole
/vp/ does have some advantages though
1 unlike nearly all other boards, we share one specific interest, pokemon. So when something big happens in this franchise, it affects us all, such as new main-games being revealed
Take /v/ on the other hand, they care about different games, so not even half will care about the upcoming COD 2000 or whatever
2 there are less of us. Sure, a lot of people say /vp/ is bad cause of how slow it it, but traffic =/= quality. When things are a bit slower you can leave and come back a few hours later and the ammusing thread will still be up
After all, the fastest boards are all known for being shit
3 we're all faggots anyways, so no reason to hide our powerlevels

The current season, leak season, is especially the worst time to browse /vp/. You get loads of underage faggots like yourself who shit up the board. There's absolutely nothing to talk about but there's still a huge increase in traffic, which just leads to inane bullshit being posted. The board does get slightly better once we actually get stuff to talk about and we move into hype season, but even then you still have a load of retards posting here. And then when the games are released and everyone has finished playing them, the board becomes dead. The post quality is a lot better, but the traffic is just incredibly low.

/vp/ might be less bad than some other boards within 4chan itself but it's still easily the worst Pokemon board i've ever been to
It combines all of the worst aspects of serebii forums (shitty threads that generate zero actual discussion and only serve to attract children, like those "let me tell you about muh bro xD" threads) and /v/ (with genwars being more or less a reflection of console wars), with way too much sexual content finding it's way on the board. The sense of community is completely absent too, but that might just be my problem with 4chan as a whole.
