I don't fucking care about ships or waifus. I care about the quality of the anime as a whole. And I like the OS, but it goes downhill before the orange island league even begins.
I haven't liked any of Ash's companions since OS, not because of some nostalgia thing, but I hate the stupid boring contest crap that came with them. Iris didn't have that, but what she did have was that obnoxious Axew.

Anon, sweetie, you don't have to like just one character. if you can actually use that brain of yours for more than a few moments, you would be able to realize that each and every female traveling companion has their strengths and weaknesses character wise.
I enjoyed Misty, and I have enjoyed May, Dawn, Iris, and Serena. I'm not sure how people can be so limited in their likes.
