What single mechanic could they add to a main series game that would ruin Pokemon for you?
I think if they started introducing side-volutions that took pre-existing Pokemon and let them evolve into different types of themselves (like Eevee, but for everything) I might finally have to quit.
OP versions of final stage Pokemon that you're forced to use to remain competitive, but only a handful of Pokemon have them and they all look like shit.
Trainer/Pokemon fusion, of the "two minds inhabiting one body" sort.

This and pokefusions in general. They were already pushing it with Kyurem.
I've already been with Pokemon for this long. They could do something really stupid and I'd probably still be around, just not as enthusiastic.
