Give it a mega-evolution that makes it ice/steel and make its ability huge power. It'll still be weak to fighting, fire, and ground...but you could switch in on pretty much anything else.
Maybe give it automize, too... It'd definitely have its niche in NU/UU if it had this going for it.
God knows he's a fighter, but he just can't hack it in the competitive scene. What kind of edge does he need?
