I recently realized the more i dislike a pokemon the more likely i am to try and use it when i replay a game. to see if i can try and love it. Have any of you done this and if so what pokemon was it. and most importantly did it work?
I've tried it thus far with seedot, geodude, and gyarados and only failed with gyarados

because i used it i gen 3, raised it from a magikarp, and it was dead weight. I tried but it was just useless. My peliper was a better water/flying type than it.

I did that once in my first White run, as in I tried using Pokemon that I thought looked shitty/stupid to see if they can grow on me. Andit was one of the least enjoyable runs I ever had. Never again.

Just slap DD and quake on it and you're good to rape the game, its stabs were worthless though
I used to hate pic related until I used it in platinum and holy shit it was amazing with adaptability tri attack, its 3D model also makes it way more likeable than its shit sprite

gyarados doest get dragon dance in gen three until level 50. if it takes a pokemon 50 levels to stop being trash even in single player than it's an awful pokemon

meh its been awhile since I played gen 3, but yeah gyarados is one of the most benefited pokemon of the split and its good in gen 3 but only late game so I can see how it'd be dead weight until you get quake and shit
