Holy shit OP, I remembered playing a game that my neighbor owned for the GBA when I was younger but I never remembered what the game was called. I always tried looking it up but could never find it. I saw this picture and for some reason Medabots seemed familiar so I googled it and sure enough the game I remembered was Metabots Rokusho Version. Thank you based OP.

So I used to live in Hawaii years and years ago, and one of my favorite things to do when I left my dead end minimum wage job was to go to one of the like 4 arcades within walking distance and sit down and play Mushi King. It was me and a couple of hardcore Japanese guys who did it when the Pachinko machines were full (I never got Pachinko). And we'ld sit there and Mushi King the hell out of each other. I miss being that kind of depressed, it sounds weird, but I do.All of the arcades also had Dinosaur King machines, so I would play the hell out of that, too. But DinoKing and MuchiKing are literally the same game with a different coat of paint.
I wonder how the other guys would've felt about what Sega did to Mushi King in Yakuza 5.

The battle system was really lame...I hated how your monsters were locked in place to the left and right of you. That and the main character saying "lets go" in japanese before EVERYTHING.

Lilo and Stitch the animated series was basically Disney's pokemon.
The premise of the show was all about tracking down Jumba Jookieba's other 625 experimental monsters and befriending them, they each had their own different kinds of powers like pokemon. The episodes usually ended with them finding a niche for the monsters to use their powers for human benefit rather than mischief and evil.

I loved Neopets back in the day, but goddamn that site has seriously gone downhill. The quality has gone back to 2002-era shit. It needs to close down already. They're being sued currently due to old Premium members being double or even triple billed even after cancelling their subscriptions years ago, and I've heard rumors that Jumpstart went into debt to purchase the site, so let's hope some shit really goes down and causes them to close it down.

Moderately, it had a TCG scene for a while but died after 4 sets or so in the US, in japan it went on for way way longer.
A shame, because it's essentially just MtG (you could seriously make a deck using both cards, and play in either game likely without any issues if you multiply/divide the attack/defense values by 1000) but with a better art style.
