>What is this?
It's a Chinese mobile game where several Pokemon are turned into surprisingly great waifus and husbandos. You build a team of five (and one backup) and go through various stages and also fight people in a PvP arena. It's like Plants vs. Zombies except better because it's a waifu sim.

iOS users: Go to the app store and look for Super Evolution.

>What server should I use?
Most of us are on S04 Cerulean City although you can use any server, or several if you want to reset your team. S01-05 give the best rewards.
>Which starter should I choose?
Just choose your waifu.
>How do I get X pokemon?
Tap on the Wiki button in the game menu, tap the pokemon you're looking for, and scroll down until you can find how it's obtained. You're usually gonna need to be lucky, though.
>How much should I spend on this game?
You can go totally free and do just fine since the game gives you quite a lot for free, as long as your rolls aren't total garbage. Get a Miltank as she’s a good early healer, even if she only is a 4-star. If you want to spend money for Pokestones, go up to VIP3 ($10 total) so that you can participate in the Server Fund once you hit level 20, which gives you lots of free Pokestones. You get Zapdos at VIP6 ($60) and Lugia at VIP10 ($700) but they're not really worth it.

You have two options: 3 melee, 1 healer, 1 ranged; or 2 melee, 1 healer, 2 ranged. More details in the pastebin, or ask for advice. Try to fill your team with 15 quality 5-stars (purple stars).

Melee is usually used when talking about either the sword or shield types. Despite the game referring to them as guard, strike, assist, and blast types, most people will just call the four of them tank, striker, healer, and ranged.

Miltank is the best early game healer and will be great until you can fully evolve a 15qa cleric like milotic. Chicorita is also a great tank because she gains a passive regen when awoken. All in all, great early game stuff that will carry you until you can get better monsters.

for PvP or PvE?
For PvP use a healer for the back up and dont realy on them, if you lose one of your main team 9 times out of 10 your going to lose. It also gives you a better idea of your true OA, you wont loss to people with lower OA's then you as often.

I just started this game a couple days ago, but I'm having some weird time-related issues.

I already have milo, so i might stick with her for now. I currently am in desperate need of a good melee mon, i already have laplace as a wall and i'm looking at picking up articuno as i'm fairly close to having the parts needed. I'll probably go with raiko then, as my ranged mons are a bit lacking in comparison. Orange gear is going to be the best armor for most people. Purple isn't great and yellow is way too ridiculous to obtain and then level. If you're at a stage in the game where you can farm the champion tower and get at least one piece of orange gear per day, I would focus on trying to get as many orange sets as possible.

Not the anon you replied to but, I've had shit luck when it comes to getting decent orange gears since the combine machine assumes all I want are smash swords & burn pendants.
Since it kept fucking me over at 800k a try I decided to just get full purple sets and max them out & it's working pretty well so far. Purple sets are so plentiful and easy to upgrade. I'm pushing 190k OA at the moment so it's not a good idea to totally dismiss purple gear and solely focus on orange.
I'll eventually move into orange gear once I get enough of a set to, but rng a shit.
You can jew the arena. If you close the game before the end, it wont use up a challenge and the W/L won't be recorded. This might also work with champion league.

Don't rush into legendaries willy nilly because they take a tremendous amount of dawn stones and powerful Pokemon to awaken.

the actual hp and attack boosts from awakening aren't usually much more impressive than levelling up but the abilities you unlock are extremely useful in most cases

There's exceptions to the rule, though. Most tanks get a 40% HP bonus from awakening to level 5. But that still won't necessarily translate into enough HP to make up for not having lvl 4 awakening Entei's other stats and skills. Plus, the 3 dogs have relatively easy relationships, since they get a bonus from each other and each one gets a bonus from one of the 3 starters. The dogs are definitely worth it. Suicune isn't even that hard to awaken. She's only slightly more troublesome than Gardevoir.

When you reach the next color tier of awakening, you'll notice a big jump but more importantly is having gear sets and especially orange quality gear sets.

Suicune uses Ralts and Togepi. The only real trouble there is Ralts, which is why I say she's only slightly more troublesome than Gardevoir. But you can eventually farm it. Milotic is much easier to awaken than either one, though.
Entei uses Larvitar and Magby. Magby is easy to get fromt he black market, but Larvitar is a problem. Aggron and Meganium are definitely good alternatives to Entei, but Entei, even at awakening level 4, is still better than many of the other 15 Qua tanks.
Raikou needs Pikachu and someone else. I think Elekid maybe. Pikachu is a complete pain in the ass to get. For that one, since I run a 3-1-1 formation, I'd rather stick to the starter. But he's at least useful as a buddy. Or if you get lucky with your summons and get some Pikachus. It's not like Pikachu is useful anyway.

Because having the 3 dogs will make it easy to get their full relationship bonus, but there's other non-legendaries that are definitely powerful and easy to awaken and also have good relationships between them. I'm only saying that the dogs shouldn't be discarded so quickly. But that's not to say that the other aspects of team-building don't exist.

Let me rephrase what I said because it came out as confusing rambling. My point isn't that a team with the 3 dogs will definitely be better than a team with just 15 Qua pokemon. My point is that not every 15 Qua pokemon is going to be better than them from just being awakened to level 5. Not all of them have game-changing skills unlocked at that level. And it's going to come down to other things, like relationships and skills at that point. Optimizing may or may not involve legendaries. It's possible to optimize either way. But Legendaries do have better base stats and skills. If you have a team of non-legendaries with all of their relationships, they'll probably be good enough without the legendaries. Especially when Mega evolution is introduced here. If you want a team with legendaries, the dogs are definitely worth it because they cover key spots in the party and have relationships with each other.

Just keep in mind that Tyranitar is one of Entei's relationship bonuses, so if you only have one Pupitar it might not be worth it to sacrifice it just to awaken Entei. Especially if other pokemon in your party get relationship bonus from him too.

You can only attack during the battle phase, a half hour hour period at 9:30pm GMT+8/9:30am EST. During this time, you can attack any point that your leader selected as a target (noted by a sword above the enemy spot). You will also be able to move yourself by selecting the spot your on, remove yourself from that spot's defending team, click on the new spot you wish to protect, and add yourself to that spot's list of defenders. When you conquer an opponents spot they will be able to fight back to reclaim it. If they manage to take it back, then you will be unable to fight against that spot for the remainder of that battle phase. In addition to the battles, there will be challenges that open up on the 9th and 14th day. These will stay open for an entire day and what challenge you get will be based on what your guild's current rank is. The more damage you do in these challenges the more coins you earn. During the preparation phase, you can also spend 50 pokestones to open a chest that will give you 100 coins, 3 treasure exp chests, 100 magic stones, and buffs to everyone's attack and health. There is also an information tab in the guild battle screen that can provide you with more information if you need it.

Do status effects of the same type stack, is the pokemon affected with status effectively immune to receiving that status while under the effect, or does getting hit with that status overwrite the strength/duration of the old status? First thing I would suggest is ditching the friends that are never on and getting new ones. Just advertise in chat about looking for friends, or join a guild and add people from there as well. Rushing myth events is a gigantic waste when you can have enough friends to just fight 5 of them normally.
Also, unless you're opposed to spending money, buying the month card is actually pretty good value for gems. You pay about $6 for 300 gems, and then another 120 every day for 30 days. That's close to 4k gems for just $6. In comparison, buying 7200 gems straight up costs over $100.

If you lose all 5 of your arena matches, you're only gaining 250 less honor than if you had won all 5 arena matches. That combined with the fact that your higher rank will be giving you more of a daily honor bonus than the lower rank means you probably won't be getting much more honor at the end of the day by dropping rank.

I think Aggron is broken too. Maybe even more so. I don't know if there's a limit to how much his defense can increase, but unless he dies before the first minute is up, he's simply not going to die unless his healer stops healing. And on top of that, he has that rush special, so he'll also rush into your healer.

Have you read the skill? It maxes out at 60% damage reduction of damage taken and a 24% damage reduction on himself. That's literally all he has going for him though. His status effect is the worst one, his damage is bad, his relations are bad, it's just his tankiness and his charging ability.
Geranium has the same charging ability, better relations, a much better status effect, and her healing is definitely comparable to Aggron's defense.
I've never had issues with Aggron teams unless I had a significantly lower OA.

Dude, at this point, I don't trust the descriptions. After his defense is boosted enough, it doesn't even matter if his attack is lowered, since his job by then is to dash into the healer and tank while the other team shoots you. With Meganium, I usually only have trouble with the bug that makes it so that her HP doesn't go down. Once her HP starts dropping, I can usually kill her even if she's annoying as hell. Aggron just won't die sometimes.

And if you're running your own pokemon that can dash into their healer, like Meganium, Aggron's dash won't matter. In that situation he's just a worse Meganium with basically no status effect that does nothing but stand in front of his healer until everything else is dead. No tank does amazing damage, but poison with its healing reduction is spectacular, and her heal combined with probably more relationship bonuses is going to make her close to as tanky as Aggron, while also bringing way more damage.

Yeah, except there's no way you're just buying 20 drops for the 15 stones each. You see maybe one drop per reset of the shop, rarely two, and it takes hours to accumulate resets. You have to buy bigger items for more pokestones to get the free drops that come with them, or pay for resets just to get the privilege to pay for drops, and all of this is just for the ability to buy discounted items with even more pokestones. It's only worth it if you came into the event with a decent stockpile of gems and don't mind losing a lot of them.

Really not that bad, I haven't seen a reset yet without a drop, often 2 and I've seen a couple 3s. I've sent 18 drops so far, so 2 more and I'll get a 5 star 15 talent.
So with my two manual resets that's 520 gems total for that 5 star 15 talent, which usually costs you 2,300 in the monster summoner.
No way it's not worth it. But I wouldn't send more than 20, the rewards for 30 and above are not worth it.
