so we know every gen has its own "theme" on which its pokemon, towns, stories etc are loosely based on.
e.g. Gen1 is Experiments/Laboratory (Bulbasaur looks like a genetic experiment with animals and plants, Ditto has unstable dna, pokemon with many heads, mewtwo etc.)

I figure that, in the vein of themes you're going for, Gen VI probably fits in with Time or Life, since we have the Legendaries of X/Y being Life and Death, ORAS ties in with the Primals and their position in bow things work (natural disaster wipes out things to replace them,) and we also have AZ and Zinnia, an immortal man and a girl with some knowledge of the multiverse.
