Why are (most) bird pokemon so boring?
You're forced to have one for HM Fly, and they're usually only useful during the first half of the game because bugs and grass.

Of course. I'm a Karenfag too, but I like having more than 6 mons, so I'll alternate out a few. For example in my recent BW run I trained a Stoutland but I swapped him out for a Haxorus later on. I have nothing against Stoutland or Haxorus but I like keeping some variety in my teams. Keeping the same team of 6 the whole game is boring.

Fruit is pretty much evolutionary designed for animals to eat so as to spread the seeds around. Tropius most likely drops its fruit periodically (Harvest supports this). Picking its fruit is probably good for its health, like milking a cow.

I just told you it grows the fruit to deal with excess sugar from photosynthesis. If the fruit even has seeds, they wouldn't grow into more Tropius, they would likely grow into a tree that bears that fruit, which is probably nanab berries.

We need soaring in Sun/Moon. Fly is a garbage HM and I hate having to use something that can learn it if I don't want to take forever getting across the region.
Having to go into those save-slowing PC boxes and get out a fly slave whenever I need to make a quick jump was my least favorite part of Gen IV.
Noctowl is my favorite bird, but it needs to be retconned to be Flying/Psychic and/or get an evolution. Mega or otherwise. Pic related.
