Playing ORAS for the first time expecting it to be a cakewalk like XY only to find that Wattson is still a casual filter no matter what version
They nerfed so much other shit but still left in the hardest gym in the series

I don't remember having much trouble with Wattson in Emerald, it's Norman that gave me a run for my money. He and Whitney, man. Normie trainers are OP.

I played regular Sapphire hundreds of times before and never had any trouble with any of the game except for Wattson, consistently. Norman is babby tier, his pokemon spend most of the time asleep and lounging around.

norman still easily opens holes on players teams with sheer power, consider the hoenn regional dex and the options you get for his team in rs, if anything he even benefits from teh lack of physical / special attacks split
even if truant /balances/ his slaking you are also tempted to use status moves that are quite common options at that part of the game

the rest of its line is worse than gen 5 starters and unpleasing to use while sceptile's line is a dead weight
