I'm about to enter Victory Road in Gold version. Ember is a Dragonair, Migi is a Parasect, Bigtooth is my Feraligatr, Hilde is a Nidoqueen, Andromeda is an Ampharos, and Falco is a Fearow.
Interestingly enough, I accidentally created a harem for my Feraligatr. All the other pokemon are females. Even my side companion Maya the Xatu who I use sometimes.
Considering a completed Pokedex run.
Starters are going to be a pain in the ass though, I don't know anyone that started with Bulbasaur, only two Charmanderfags.
And then my brother went from saying he wants Vaporeon to wanting a Jolteon like I plan on getting, so Eeveelutions will be a pain as well. Who the fuck gets a Flareon anyway?

Pretty balanced team overall. Though for Koga, you may want to bring Kadabra, Eggsecute, and Slowpoke out. You clearly have someone to trade with, you could get it done at any level and it should be good.

Just beat the first Gym in Omega Ruby.
This PokéNav shit is amazing.
Had Teleport and Sweet Scent to speed up some training of Hidden Ability Wurmple and got a Shroomish which made the Gym piss easy, as well as saving money against most of the trainers out in the next route not having to worry about healing poison.

It is ridiculous that they give you so few water options when Surfing is actually compulsory later on. Could have done with having an Old Rod pre-national dex because the only options for a STAB-Surfer are the Oshawott, Azurill, Psyduck or Ducklett lines (possibly Pelipper if you can get as far as Route 22 without Surf).

Thanks for the recommendations, anon. I'll see what I can do about the save tomorrow. But Crobat is a great recommendation, because I've never really cared about the Zubat line, this is finally my chance to get acquainted. Plus, it fills several types I was missing for coverage.

The Snivy line gets more unique as it goes on, but it only gets really fun to use if you have one with Contrary. Leavanny's good early on but is quite frail
The Litwick line are really cool but require heavy TM use to be effective & also evolve late
You can pick up a Joltik (only just realise the two share the same prefix to their name) right before the flying gym which evolves into a top-notch thunderbug (dual type as well which you said you liked)
If you're looking for a good water type then evolving Eevee into Vaporeon will probably be your best bet until you get fairly far in. You will be needing to Surf later on so this may not be a bad shout (otherwise you may end up like me & be stuck using a Marill HM slave)

X right after 6th gym. Baltoy is my favorite pokemon and this one came from eggs hatched in a White version that went to Black 2 and then Omega Ruby and finally X whose parents came from Diamond through Heart Gold. There are at least a hundred baltoys between the games and a couple dozen eggs.

Just finished up with Whitney, oddly enough she's the only gym leader so far that I got on the first try. After a couple of Sand-Attacks she completely lost the urge to use Rollout and Sleep Powder stopped her one other use of it even after the Lum berry.

Decided to start an Omega Ruby run a few days ago. Ninjask is in a bit of a pickle and Aron needs some help.
A Ralts and Mudkip were here, but I removed them since having a Gardevoir is a bit of a trite now, no matter how handy they are in a fight, and I just felt like boxing my starter.
Hoping I can get a Banette and maybe a Cacturne soon. Not gonna be needing Fly for a while, so maybe I'll try my hand at getting a Surfing Feebas soon.
Also don't mind Jenn; she's a left over from when I tried theme naming everyone with a Double N name, but ran out of ideas after the second one.

Been trying to make a point of using pokemon I wouldn't normally consider, so that means lots of normal types and older 'mons I've taken for granted. Diggersby's a surprise favorite, dude's a complete tank that still hits pretty hard, and Sitrus Berry Cheek Pouch is an absurd heal.

Yeah, but Shelldon one hits anything that stands in his way, especially if they are weak to his type. And in the rare occurrence Tesla outspeeds a full HP Archeops, or lives a rock throw/ancient power from that thing, Volt switch can switch him out to Shelldon, hell Volt switch was how I grinded a weak little Joltik into a badass.
