Ash's team is actually bretty gud, all the flying types sound worse on paper than they actually are, plus they never do entire sweeps based on typing alone, so it'd not like Ash it's gonna get his shit slapped by some Rock or Ice type trainer, plus he already beat Clemont.

Game logic doesn't matter you donut. The moves are based on what's visually interesting. Aerial Ace = martial arts, Cut = sword, Double Team = naruto shit, and shuriken as signature move.
