I don't give a shit about Smogon's tier lists and rules but I do like to use them for suggestions on what to train a pokemon in and what moves to give it.
I still only use pokemon that I actually like though, most of my friends do the same.
We have one smogon fag that only uses the toppest of tier non legendary pokemon, even though he's not a fan of them. The funny part is every other game we all play together, he's the worst player every time.
