Don't listen to this idiot >>25644041, BW2 is the only third version that's actually necessary to get because it finishes up the BW's plot. It's a legit sequel to BW instead of being a rehash like Emerald and Platinum, with the region set 2 years after. It's packed full of content and exploring the region you know but 2 years later and seeing all the changes are interesting.
XY is actually pretty fun if you don't play with EXP share/giftmons. Trying to use only Gen 6 mons was also pretty fun.
