I really liked most of the pokemon designs gen 6 bought

Red was my first game but Gen 5 had the best mechanics and story, but the worst starters.
Gen 4 because best Starters best third Version.
Gen 2 because it was a step up from rby in every way but the slow leveling was shitty and also nostalgia.
RS was eeh for me back then but ORAS was a little better.
Gen 1 ,,shitty game but first game".
Gen 6 Megas are shit, Story is simply shit and the Genwunner pandering was disgusting.

Gen 5 is by far the best imo.
Generally great designs and an abundance of new pokemon, as well as amazing postgames, and outstanding music.

I think platinum is good, dont get me wrong, but Diamond and Pearl and really, really terrible.

Although a bit too much praise of D/P It's dex has it's fair share of shitmons, but Platinum and HGSS are perfection
I feel this list was manly the first games of the generation, as he did not cover BW2/HGSS/Crystal. It explains why Gen 3 is the worst; R/S are pretty bad by themselves, but FRLG is decent, and Emerald is really good

It's weird cause i used to hate gen 4. I guess that was more because the childhood fantasy of pokemon had worn out as i grew into an edgy teenager.

5 is just mechanically superior. As far as improvements go, 4 stands at the top by leaps and bounds. The physical/special split is the single biggest and most influential as well as fantastic design change introduced in the entire franchise.

In my opinion it gets better every generation. Progressively we've gotten more characters , more moves, more battle items, easier EV training, IV breeding, shiny rate and much more.
