I really liked using Tepig's line as my starter in White 2.

I was hoping Emboar would be a Fire/Ground warthog fucking people up with its Bulldoze attack. It would have been one of the best starters ever if that happened. Looking at Emboar now just makes me sad. Its design is still salvageable, if not much worse, but then they had to go and make it a shitmon on top of everything else.

Its my least favorite of the three starters but holy shit they did Samurott Dirty. Greninja literally does the same thing except better and cooler. It can ever create swords and dual wield them out of water. Drop Samurotts special attack down, add that to its defenses so it can feel like the armored knight its meant to be vs. paper thing but super fast greninja.
And shell armor, really? Give it intimidate or something, god damn. Give it something Samurai-ey. Give it guts. Give it something.
