I think I just experienced hypnagogia. While I did, an image came to my mind of a new Pokemon design. It was too good to forget, so I woke myself up.
It was standing in the outdoor field arena of Pokemon Stadium, and pic related is how I can best describe it.
Basically here are some features:
>Bipedal, similar body shape to Toxicroak
>Ruff collar around its neck
>Had a curled tail like Kecleon
>Idle animation had it flick its thin tongue like a snake
>Was mostly blue and purple
>Had a facial expression similar to the one in pic related
Thoughts?

Sort of, but not really. Like I said it was more like Toxicroak.
I feel like it might have been inspired by it though, maybe like a knock-off of some sort.
Its eyes were definitely shut with a mundane expression, but I feel like his tongue scarf might have inspired the ruff collar.

I don't recall the ears being that big.
It didn't have an eskimo pattern on its face

Well they weren't on its head. They were on his body.
And by eskimo I mean the clothes that they were, the hood surrounding their face. Yeah, that wasn't like his design.
It was more humanoid.

Looks pretty good, apart from the colors.

Try switching the colors maybe? Tail was more curled. Tongue was also thinner. Other than that, really nice job. Also if the collar was gray like >>25618190 or at least more highlighted it would be spot on.

looks like a someone took something from pokemon and something else from monster hunter, fused them together and painted it purple. not bad though. i really like it

Very nice. I changed tongue color and added a stripe on its stomach for variety though.
Now the question is, what do we name it? What type(s) should it be?
I think it should definitely have Poison. It could learn moves like Venom Drench and Poison Tail.
