Godammit guys where the fuck can i actually buy real Pokemon Carts. Ebay is filled with fakes this is the 2nd time i got tricked, I cannot find any site that'll sell old Pokemon GBA games.

Oh shit whoops

Real the description next time. Look for the word "official" and "legit".
Or buy a ds emulator and emulate gba games.
Then you don't have to worry about corrupt files.
>>25603892
Don't you have any pawn shops around, usually those are chock full of pokemon carts
You have to thoroughly check the picture of the cartridge and make sure it has a shiny sheen, just like what you would see when you look at gem stones.
>>25603949
All the Descriptions are useally "100% LEGIT REAL CARTS 4 SALE" and their useally NTSC or Fake, I'm looking for PAL.
>>25603972
There are no retro vidya shops where i live the oldest games i can get are ps2 or Gamecube no GBA or Handheld games.
>>25603949
>flash memory
>don't have to worry about losing saves
HAHAHAHAHA. HA.
>>25603892
Read some guides on spotting fake carts, and try to find one in person. Contact ebay and get a refund, ASAP.
>>25603997
> no retro vidya shops
Are there any classifieds for your area?
>>25604018
To add to this, have you checked foreign-language eBays sites, like .it or .fr? You might see an english cart on there.
>>25603996
The guy i orderd off had the shine but it seems he just uploaded some random JPG of a legit cart. Will ask the seller about it in the future thanks.
>>25603892
Stop buying from Hong kong/china
Order one off an official site that sells used games, like gamestop. Not that hard
>>25604050
The seller was from the UK
>>25604057
There's no Gamestop in Northern Ireland if im certain.

I bought my Leaf Green cart from Amazon and it was legit.
I've seen fake carts even in irl game stores these things are all over the place and their justification is usually "Well people only care about playing the game."
Good luck to you bro.
I ordered a lot of these years ago when my older carts got stolen by some kids.
i don't see the issue with repros. in most cases, they're actually better.
you would spend:
>$25-35 per cart, or MORE for a used condition cart thats battery has long since run dry, can no longer save data, or control the clock.
>In mediocre condition on the outside, torn sticker, or sometimes even no sticker or marker writing
>possibly damaged or dust filled contacts depending on how the person handled it.
VERSUS
>A brand new offloaded ROM onto a cartridge with a fresh replaced battery
>No wear and tear
>factory made
It baffles me. Who cares if its authentic or not? You don't get cred for owning a gen-u-eye-n pokemon cartridge when everyone and their mother does.
And if you don't care about any of that, just emulate. its the same thing.
>>25604034
I found a few legit ones on the French Ebay but the price is in Euro's and i don't speak Snail.
You better flag that persons ass down for selling fake
>>25604061
>Seller was from UK
No shit. Outsourced. you need to look up your buyer before you buy shit.
>>25604080
Me and my Brother got our cousins old Game boy's and games we have Ruby but we want to trade you can't trade with fake carts. Plus it feels more satisfying owning an original cart instead of some Hong Kong piece of plastic.
>>25604081
Install an auto-tranlation plugin for your browser. eBay will do the conversion for you.
>>25604096
Ive got my refund so i'll do that in the future if i spot a decent looking cart thanks.
>>25604120
>You can't trade
Bullshit. only thing repros cant do is connect to things like XD and Pokemon ranch. Trading is very much possible.
>>25604076
That's comforting. I was thinking of buying carts off of Amazon and it's good that they aren't scams
>>25603892
>>25603901
This is real retard. It's the PAL version
>>25604152
I did get a (legit) Ruby that wouldn't play on anything I owned so it must've just been bad luck but they still took it back.
>>25603892
>Fake
Thats the PAL version dude. you bought it in the UK,. what the fuck did you think you were getting?
>>25604165
Its fake it doesn't connect to my Heart Gold not to mention it doesnt have the small numbers imprinted onto the face of the cart and the chip board at the back covers the whole thing instead of showing the prongs ALSO Nintendo is misspelled on the prongs.
>>25604200
>Doesnt connect to HGSS.
Is your HGSS PAL? If not. no shit. Region locked bro.
>>25603892
Look at the cart in the pictures. If it is 100% minty fresh, then it is almost certainly fake. Another way to make sure it is not a fake is to see the amount the seller has up for sale. If it says something like 40/more than 10 sold then that shit is fake son.
>>25604207
My HeartGold is PAL got it on launch senpai.
>>25603892
Wait, so can I actually get ~$50 each for my old FR, Sapphire and Emerald carts?
>>25604224
Yep.
>tfw traded them in for like 4 bucks EBGames dosh
>>25604224
yup.
Sell those fuckers and emulate bro.
>>25604224
And HGSS?
>>25604224
Not really. Ruby and Sapphire are somewhat cheaper, going for 25 dollars. FR and LG go for 35-40 each, same with Emerald.
Now Heart Gold and Soul Silver are the most expensive games. A copy of HG or SS with the cardboard box, and Pokewalker (plus all inserts) can go for almost 100 bucks. I sold one of my Heart Gold copies for 30 dollars, because it was my cousin and that game is hard to come by anyway. Plus, I got that second copy for like 15 bucks from a friend years ago.
>>25604245
Damn I thought I'd get max $10
>>25604267
I have both HG and SS. I also have an unopened Ho-oh preorder figurine if that's worth anything.
>>25604286
I know that the Walmart version of HG & SS that came bundled with the figurine and Pokewalker rubber protector can go for 250+ if it is brand new.
I dont remember this text box showing up on these games.
>>25604308
That means that the game is fake. It is programmed in the real copies, but fakes are known to display that.
