It's not even possible to catch them all in one game, just start collecting, and if you're a fan, you should have most of them within three games. Just start working on a living dex, pokebank makes it easier than ever.

I've got a "catch 'em all" run of leafgreen that's going good - every possible 'mon pre-elite 4 in Poke or Safari Balls.
The legendary birds were FUCKED annoying, but the safari zone was worse. I'm just gonna Master Ball Mewtwo.
