Not really, ice typing is worse than poison defensively by a country mile and Gengar can hold Life Orb. Freeze Dry would be pretty dope though because of how prevalent water is on bulky monsters. Unless you are implying that that would be as good as M-Gengar in which case you are out of your gourd.

The idea would be to make Froslass offensive, so that problem would really only come into play against things like Scizor assuredly forcing it out. Froslass would hold a Life Orb too.

The trade-off would be that Froslass can set up Spikes and T-Wave and hit AV Torn-T and SpDef Hippo and Mandibuzz while Gengar can handle Fairies and has Focus Blast for Tyranitar and Bisharp and can WoW.
