Bullet Punch made Scizor ridiculous. Scyther has no such option for coverage despite being quite possibly the best design of the original 151. It's a praying mantis. With swords for arms. Scizor threw out that concept and gave him big meaty claws instead. Scizor used to trade speed for power but since Bullet Punch and Stealth Rock exist there is no longer a way for Scyther to exist even with Eviolite. Tldr no coverage and has been pissed on movepool-wise since gen 1.

I dunno, I think it's pretty baller, but I think the design of Braixen is a little better. (Not even because I'm some dude who wants to fuck cartoon foxes, I just think think the way it holsters its wand inside of it's tail is pretty clever). I think mostly the hate comes from a very vocal minority of folks who dislike that Braixen's evolution is not as sexualized as they want it to be, because it isn't as cute. I think Delphox looks more like a sweet ass mage so I don't have any problem with it.
