Not good enough yet. It needs to be super effective on grass, ice, and steel types because it's so hot and bypass sturdy because hot water is a better solvent. Hell, throw in a plus 30% damage against rock and ground types to further the solvency theme and you're golden.

Like any ground or rock types will be willing to switch into it. The only ground type Volcanion will fear is Garchomp, and even then with full HP investment it can survive any non choice banded EQ from Chomp. Lando-T can revenge it, but if you bodly switch into Lando-T. you better hope its not into Steam Eruption.
Volcanion for the most part will only get hit by unSTAB'd EQ's/Stone Misses and with it's 90/120 physical defenses, it can survive most of them.
