Is /vp/ the most welcoming, compassionate, and/or accessible board? I feel like, more than any other board, I would be willing to show /vp/ to my family.
tl;dr Is /vp/ love?
fuck you butthole, i hope everyone in your family gets aids and dies a slow painful death.
>>25576255
Nah, /vp/ kind of sucks.
I don't really think any 4chan board should be shown to your family.
>>25576307
nice edge
Not particularly, no. What other boards have you even been to? /v/? Anything would look welcoming compared to /v/
>>25576255
how friendly are people on /vp/?
friendly enough to help trade evolve pokes?
I've found /vp/ as the most helpful to me personally. Disregarding me, a butthole, being fucked and my family of buttholes getting AIDS, I have nearly always been welcomed on /vp/ more than other boards.
I actually used a thread on /vp/ for a presentation for a class once.
>>25576255
No, that's /co/mblr.
>>25576255
I hope your family likes underage and/or furry porn, cause if not well I got bad news for them anon!
>>25576406
Good point. /co/ is probably more welcoming or accessible. Do you think that's because of the content or the anons?
>>25576365
There are people that friendly on this board. I did that for a guy after giving him a free Tyrogue egg that I went and bred just for him. Then there's the people that do giveaways, but I think that those giveaway general threads were pretty cancerous because they lend themselves to creating "personalities" as opposed to people remaining anonymous as much as possible.
>>25576430
Agreed. When I first started coming to /vp/, tripfags were everywhere, and it was basically just a faster updating serebii thread. I think that might have pushed some of the hateful types away. No comment on whether that helped or hurt.
>>25576255
/vp/'s naïve.
>>25576426
The anons aren't that friendly or welcoming, they're just outnumbered. Anyplace will appear welcoming when hundreds of people that think like you show up at the same time.
>>25576255
>Is /vp/ love?
Half of /vp/ are salty veterans that wish they were dead because Pokemon is so casual and the other half are tumblr / mobileposters who unironically love ORAS.
>>25576458
God forbid any anon be friendly or welcoming. Ever think that maybe some anons on /vp/ play at being trolls are the same people trading with trips and creating "personalities" in other threads?
>>25576255
shit on them all you want, /mlp/ is practically a family
>>25576312
Maybe /po/
>>25576477
Veterans of the game or true, original /tr/ainers? I've been here a while and I left a bit after old /b/ day, but I think the old /tr/ was even more welcoming and friendly than today's /vp/
>>25576489
I would not show /mlp/ to my family tho.
>>25576493
Same question I posed to >>25576406
Is it the content or the anons?
>>25576507
theyre that family you never want to invite to events but would probably give you a kidney
Hell no, original fans think they're better than everyone else and most of which think a children's game should cater to them and their skill level (not saying I disagree)
>>25576529
Yeah, if my family were as welcoming and friendly to outsiders as /mlp/, then I could probably share most boards to them.
Then again, if I had to choose a board of 4chan for my family to reflect, it would likely not be /mlp/.
>>25576255
/vp/ is love, I say. /vp/ is life.
>>25576554
You agree that the original fans are better than you and everyone else? I'm flattered to hear you say that, but it also shows that you are a /vp/ user and were never a /tr/ainer.
>>25576620
Nice reading comprehension,
Le so witty and clever
>>25576658
Thanks. I've got more than a couple degrees in reading comprehension.
No, /o/ would be the only one because it's honestly a fairly normal car forum besides the "excessive" language due to being on 4chan.
>>25576668
Shuttup or I'll suck your dick
>>25576680
Let me put one on real quick.
>>25576686
When and where fag
>What is this thread
>>25576693
Here and now? Idc, what's your schedule like?
>>25576700
Right now I'm free
>>25576716
Give me an address. I'm getting on my bike now.
>>25576727
Gonna need more than a bike if you're not in Australia
>>25576736
I'll just put extra air in my tires. It'll make me buoyant.
>>25576255
it's more autistic than other boards I think? People try to be more polite than in other boards and will not instantly call you faggot, but friendly arguments are still rare here. I really don't know. Would show my parents if it was not an internet forum for grown man playing a kids game :^)
Definitely not.
I've been here for only a few days and already I've seen the word "autistic" used in every other way accept in its proper context. I've also seen tons of racial slurs and a plethora of antisemitism, along with the occasional homophobia & sexism thrown in.
>>25576837
Another board you would offer?
>>25576837
oh, hi tumblr, please leave again :)
>>25576255
>any board on 4chan
>compassionate, welcoming, accessible
try telling you're a girl and see what happens
>>25576873
>implying you can't use more than one website in the same browser
>>25576853
...None?
You're on 4chan, sweetie. There aren't any family friendly boards, not even the ones dedicated to kids shows/games.
Well /vp/, your discourse has been productive as always. I look forward to having troubling figuring out how to cite this thread in my forthcoming publication.
Never change.
>>25576255
Hell fucking no I wouldn't show this to my family, they'd immediately see all the furshit and assume I'm a furry.
If I was held at gunpoint and told I had to show a 4chan board I browse to my family, I'd probably pick /vr/ where the worst you'll get on most days is a Final Fantasy fanwar or a Retron 5 shill thread, but I would sincerely probably show /v/ to my family before /vp/, that's how bad /vp/ is.
>>25576993
Fuck you and fuck your paper or whatever you're writing. I come here to talk about Pokemon not listen to your blogshit. But here I am at 2 in the fucking morning when I need to get up for a job I hate at 6 and AAAAAAAAAA I just want to die because I'm so lonely and pokemon isn't real.
>>25576403
Really curious as to how /vp/ could be usefull in a presentation
>>25577204
If you're referring to me, I asked /vp/ to talk about their first experiences with pokemon. I was particularly interested in trainers in areas of SE Asia. I actually got a lot of responses, and people offered a lot of good stories that helped me better understand the different ways audiences engaged with the game around the world.
