Hey guys I've been playing pokemon ever since red and blue came out in all that time I've only encountered handout shinies and a woobat that was immediately KO'd by Bianca. Well today while playing X I finally happened upon a shiny Absol so can we just have a celebratory shiny thread?

Started casual hatching for shiny fennekin last Saturday, ended up cranking out 600 eggs over roughly 2 days and ended up getting this cutie in under 1100 eggs! Without using Masuda method!
She's 4IVs too. Not a bad weekend.

Congrats OP! Finding your first random shiny is one of the most exciting things ever! This wasn't my first shiny, but it was my first full-odds (1/8192) shiny! I got it a few months ago after ~1,600 random encounters.
It sucks you lost that Woobat though. Was it a double battle? You're supposed to knock out Bianca's Pokemon first before trying to catch it.

Tedious tasks are my jam. I've also hatched a shiny 4IV Charmander, 5IV Klefki, 4IV Skitty, 5IV Bunneary, 3IV Bunneary and now this foxu230 eggs into Ponytas as I type this

Ahh, tried shiny hunting by hatching for the first time. I was hatching for a Zorua AND I GOT IT IN UNDER 18 EGGS I WAS SO HAPPY.

1) Think of a pokemon you like a lot
2) Check out it's shiny
3) If shiny is not shite, go for it
Try Tentacool, Lileep, Horsea, Corphish or Shelder for some half decent looking ones.
