I pronounce it this way. It's not as long as saying 'key'. It's so short it almost sound more like 'uh' sound rather than an 'ee'.
I never watched the anime growing up and didn't interact with anyone else who liked Pokemon until high school, so they way I said it is pretty stuck in my head.
Even throughout the anime different characters pronounced it differently.
Officially its Poke-Ayy-Mon
