If somebody ask who the 5th pokemon is, it's Jolteon since it clearly has a weakness to electric attacks. How else would it get OHKO by a Ryhorn's thunderbolt?

A level 80 Rhyhorn can take down a Level 25 Jolteon with a crit Thunderbolt.
Since Giovanni used his own personal pokemon rather than the gym pokemon, and mentioned Red's pokemon being underlevelled due to relying too much on Charizard, this is the answer.
It's not some absurd Level 100 beast, it's powerful but within the realm of reason.

I don't know about anybody else, but I got fuckin' jazzed when Red opened with Victreebel. That initial rush with the sharpened leaves is super cool, I thought for 100% sure I was about to see a badass fight.
