Assuming this Charizard indeed has Thunderpunch, it might not be enough to OHKO, since this Gyarados most likely has Intimidate as its ability. Gyarados would then be able to use either Dragon Dance to outspeed the Zard next turn, or just use Aqua Tail/Waterfall, which does have the power to KO Charizard. I'm gonna give the edge to Gyarados.
