Physical Fire types have the gift of being unburnable, which is huge in this Scald/Will o Wisp meta.
That said, the problem is that Typhlosion is PURE Fire, which isn't exactly popular right now. Arcanine has a glorious movepool, Entei has Sacred Fire, Darmanitan is fucking ridiculous and they can't pass UU. That's why part Ground would be such a good boost.
