I like riolu but only like in the side games. I'd evolve one every day in the main games and twice on sunday but nah, riolu forever in a mystery dungeon. Though really that's probably because the evolution sprites/models don't appeal to me as much in those games and I grow attached to the little floppy aura ears.

Not much I can do to help you here. If you don't like the way it's shaped and the way it looks, that's down to you.

If it's the fact that the Steel typing doesn't make sense, then most would agree with you on that. However, it's actually a pretty good typing resistance/weakness wise. The typing only has three weaknesses and 8 resistances, not including the immunity to poison. This is much better than mono-fighting.
>Colors
God help you if you don't like the color blue, but I'd say that the blue and black is a nice combination, and it makes the cream chest and white spikes pop out, leading to an interesting but not overcomplicated design. As I said before, if it comes down to your simple visual taste, then I can't do much.
>Anatomy
Not quite specific, but I think most can at least agree that the spikes are slightly out of place. I can't give you much else on that. To me, Lucario looks pretty anatomically sound. The legs are normal and the puffy "shorts" accent the thin legs pretty well.

I totally agree with you how this can get pretty lame, but it's amplified by the fact that you don't like Lucario, I must say. I view it as negative that it's being pushed everywhere, but when it comes to people like myself, I wouldn't turn down a Lucario if I was handed one.

I can't say I watch the anime, but every Lucario is not exactly the same. That's one or two instances. Take Cameron's Lucario from the anime for example (Pic related). Some may be edgy, but many have a strong friendship with their trainers. Friendship isn't edgy.

You can't say that Lucario's aura powers are out of nowhere and that they're made simply so it can be "the best." Lucario evolves from Riolu as a result of a strong bond between it and a trainer. Riolu's emanation waves evolve into Lucario's aura from friendship. A Lucario and its trainer worked hard for those aura-powers, and they're not all-encompassing. Much further training is needed to hone those skills after evolution.

Some Pokémon just have to be stronger than others. It wouldn't make any sense if they were all exactly the same. That aside, Nintendo already has a weak mascot (Pikachu), it's only reasonable to have their secondary mascot be tough stuff. Just because Lucario happens to be one of the stronger Pokémon doesn't mean it's bad.
