Aww man. :( Chespin and his evos are my absolute favorite. Personally, I'd say Tepig, Fennekin, and Chikorita are the candidates for worst starter.

Chespin's pretty great in my first gen 6 playthrough. Shame his evolutions are so ugly though.
If you want a real mediocre starter look no further than RSE Treecko. Jesus, that thing is just painful to use.

Chesnaught looks amazing and has baller sig move. Only real downside is number of weaknesses (though it matches number of resistances)

It's close between Chespin and Chimchar, but Chespin's evolutions are the worst. The concept of Chespin is decent, but the overly simplified cartoonish design make it awful to look at.
Responding to this thread in general Chikorita is boring, but it isn't the worst.
