This is obviously different. They're planning something special because VC RBGY is only compatable with Sun/Moon, they are not compatable with XYORAS. It's not like any of the 1st Gen Pokemon are hard to obtain because XY just hands them out like they're going out of style.
Whether its making MissingNo into a Pokemon, introducing a cross evolution pokemon that can only evolve when transfered from RBGY to Sun/Moon, or whatever. Also MissingNo is one of the most well known Pokemon glitches while no one really knows or cares about glitchmons in the other series.

Everything your wrote is a complete non-sequitur. The only thing they're planning that's "different and special" is the fact that Pokemon from RED/BLUE/YELLOW can finally be forward transferred through pokemon bank. They've overcome the barriers because they're finally using hardware compatible with each game simply enough and can read and write the pokemon date from each. No one gives a fuck about "gen 1 pokemon being available in gen 6" you imbecile. They want their original pokemon from the original games to be transferred. The reason why Sun/Moon are going to be compatible but not X/Y/ORAS is because they need to implement data placeholders for the pkmn file marking the origin of the game (every single game has its own separate origin data - except for colosseum/xd which are marked as one) because as of right there aren't place holders for r/b/y (only gameboy advance and up). In all likelihood they will probably implement placeholders for g/s/c while they at it since those vc titles are perfectly possible on the 3ds.

How exactly would removal of IVs make it easier, considering gen 1 already has primitive IVs in the form of Determinant Values (which go from 0 to 15 instead of 0 to 31)?
The only 'reason' for Gen 1 compatibility to only work with Sun and Moon is because Game Freak want to give those games as many selling points as possible for the modern-day rabid Pokemon fan.
